Aroha Cup
The Aroha Cup is awarded to a club member who has given outstanding service to the club during the past calendar year. The cup was donated by Michael Nobbs in 1979. Michael played for the Sturt Hockey Club for many years before moving to Perth to play with the Australian team and played in the 1984 Olympic team.
The recipient of the Aroha Cup will be selected from nominations received, by the Executive Committee and awarded at the Senior Presentation Night.

The Shine Award
The Shine Award is presented to the club member who has given outstanding service to the Junior Members of the club during the past calendar year. The award was donated by junior parents and film makers Scott Hicks and Wendy Heyson in 1997.
The recipient of the Shine Award will be selected from the nominations received, by the Executive Committee and awarded at the Junior Presentation Night.

Life Membership
Life membership is awarded to a club member in consideration of outstanding service rendered by that person to the club over a period of not less than 5 years. A life member is entitled to all rights of membership of the club without paying subscription, during that person’s life.
The Executive Committee will consider all nominations for life members, at its discretion, will make a recommendation to the club membership. Life membership will be voted for at the AGM.

Eligibility
To be eligible for an award you must be a member of the Adelaide Hockey Club.
Anyone may nominate a member for these awards. Nominations must be made on the nomination form and sent to president@adelaidehockeclub.com.au by the closing dates.
Selection Criteria
The awards will be based on the following criteria:
• The activity that has been undertaken and duration
• The impact of the action on the club (financial, social, hockey performance)
• Demonstration of the club’s values
